On Sunday we met some new folks who came over from UBC and saw our sweet gardens! They were super nice, and were really into talking sustainable food systems.

We even had them planting some carrots and shallots, and getting excited for harvest!

We planted some kohlrabi, and some more lettuces. We even discovered some giant worms! It was a great sunny day to be in the gardens.

Checking on and feeding the worms, planting seeds, (basil, eggplant, tomatoes!), creating and updating a planting diary- so we know how much we’ve done! Old potatoes were planted in the boxes outside, so excited to see those sprout! It was great to see so many people come out this sunday, even Marla, one of the previous coordinators, came out for a chat and offered some words of encouragement.
